I know what you mean, but I haven't had as bad as an experience as you. All the places I go to are in driving distance, but it's still tiring. I finally got one weekend off last week, but I have two more interviews coming up.

After that, I'm done unless those crazy elite top 10 schools decide that I'm worthy for an interview.

I really feel that way too. I just finished my 6th interview at U of Cincinnati and just didn't have the same energy I had with my first interview. The traveling and missing classes has really started to get to me and I feel on the edge all the time. Seems like all I think about is the possible mistakes I made at interviews and my chances of getting into a school. AHHHH the whole process stresses me out😱

i am not burnt out just yet, but i have the craziest set of interviews coming up in two weeks. i scheduled 4 interviews in 5 days...two in Boston and two in Philadelphia.

I've got 3 in a row in 3 days beginning of next week in cities all a flight away from each other... Beginning to wonder if that was the best idea. I think it'll be good to start a rhythm where several are done fast though, and hopefully not too painfully.

Traveling from the east coast to the west seems to be easier than the other way around, imo. I really do hate flying but in this case I'd much rather be tired from flying to interviews than well rested with no interviews 😛.

I now dread the tour portion and the question/answer panels. I can no longer bear the "what's med school like?" and "how many hours do you study?" questions from other interviewees. Get a book. Get informed. Then, ask specific questions about THAT particular school. 😡

No offense, but I would think some of the kids out there would bring a little more to the table. I don't know how they are answering questions in interviews about handling challenges in med school if they don't even know what nuts and bolts are.

my favorite question is "what's a typical day in medical school like?" especially when it is posed to a group of 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th year students at once.

Oh God I'm dreading that for my first interview. They should seriously give West Coasters the afternoon interview slots and let us show up late.

Yeah, AECOM was brutal because I had a two hour drive to get there from New Jersey by 8:30 AM. As soon as I got there, they said "Your interview is at 10 AM so you have an hour and a half of free time."
