...that one question, number 8a, where you had to bubble one of 5 options. what's up with that? none of the options described what i want to do. and the only option that involved clinical practice was "full time private practice". there's ways to have patients other than private practice, right? what about being a ED doc or working in a community clinic?

overanalyzing, but i hope those 5 options are not reflective of the only types of doctors stanford wants to churn out.

i just want them to want me as much as i want them. sigh...

I totally agree . . . none of the options described are what I wanted to do either. But I just picked the one that I thought I would most want to do, and came up with reasons why I picked that one (I used my background and work experience to justify my choice). I agree, that I hope that's not something I will get "held" to in the future. I'm more worried that I'll get asked about it in an interview (because Stanford interviews people with MCAT scores of 23Q). Anyway, I sympathize. Good luck with your answer!

Oops! I didn't mean to get your hopes up . . . that was supposed to be a sarcastic remark. 😳 I haven't heard anything from Stanford, in terms of an interview. In fact, one of my LOR's just submitted his letter, so I don't even think I'm officially "complete" at Stanford. I'm sure the second I'm complete they'll be mailing me my rejection letter. Sorry about the confusion there! Good luck to you!
