It's almost worth it.

Now, we did not buy a Dell, but we did by an HP Slimline last weekend. I wonder how good it is on "passing time."

Actually, I am installing a train rack in my bathroom right now. Just taking a break, but some afternoon porn may be in order.

C'mon over to my house, gd. I've got a turkey in the oven, and that means turkey soup on the stove too. Soup is good for a cold - research proves it.

I am quite kinky, but i fear it is not what you think it is. Its a rack to put towels and such on that looks like those racks for luggage on a train.

If I didn't think that driving through the mountains would cause my head to explode right now, I would take you up on the offer. Did you get a reply from VCU about your chances onthe waitlist? I am pulling for you!

BTW: So, Oscar fell asleep last night onthe floor. I didn't put him back in bed because he is not one of those kids that stays asleep when you pick him up. However, when we woke up this morning, he was in bed! Funny. The little terrorist figured out himself that the floor wasn't comfortable!

If this link doesn't work. Go to yahoo and type google idol (no quotes) then click on the link that says "unearthing the world's talent" It's worth the effort.

I KNOW! I voted for them and was SHOCKED by how many people voted for Pomme and Kelly. Although that one chick looks like Parker Posey. That' probably scored them some huge points.

I love that guy playing computer games behind those asian guys lipsyncing.

So where's Oscar tonight, gd? My little hurricane is in a homemade tent on the new carpeted floor. Again. :)

Oscar has been sleeping on the floor. We had to put up a gate to his room since two nights ago he got up 47 times! We counted. The gate works well--he cries a lot less and when he wakes up in the middle of the night he only cries for a second before going back to sleep.

I love the image of your son in a tent in his roon--soooo cute!

Resurrecting my favorite thread...

i am sitting at my desk, trying to write a comp question for a grad student's exam and eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I feel elated and disgusted at the same time.

Personal trainer? Damn, that's hard. I have an online triathlon coach, but that just isn't the same as someone yelling in your face and watching your every move.

I have moved from CTC to Gouda cheese on crackers. I am trying to determine how far I will have to run today before the vomitting starts.

He wouldn't have bailed you if you just put out like you were supposed to.

Is that smoked gouda or unsmoked? Personally, I prefer brie on water crackers with a dollop of olive taponade on top. YUMMY! Even better with a nice crisp cool riesling.

Unsmoked. not as good. I too am a brie fan as well as the more gouche havarti dill. I just finished eating a roast beef sandwhich. Letuce, tomato, black olives, red onions and some homemade horseradish mayonaise. Oh yeah, on pumpernickel

According to the picture on the bottom of this page, Dentyne Ice will help you get rid of threesome aftertaste. For free! Mmmm, promiscuity never tasted so minty fresh!

Mota, are you around? I had a dream about you last night. Nothing too crazy, but we were on Catalina Island, so that was nice.

gd - so, whatz the haps with rush???? did they give you a decision?
south carolina is stringing me along post-interview  they told me they would let me know what they decided yesterday, but when i called they said to call back in a FEW MORE WEEKS! boo!

this is some freaky ish. i swear to you i had a dream about you last night too. i was on set with you while you were shooting a documentary of your own life or something. but the thing is you didn't look like you. you were this unbelievably fine asian girl that was my age (as opposed to an unbelievably fine white girl ten years my senior). and i kept saying, gdbaby why do you look so different? but i couldn't get an answer from you cuz you were constantly swarmed by other men. it was one of those dreams where you know it's somebody because you just know, but they don't look like that person. insane.

i had another really weird dream too that i couldn't even begin to explain. but it did involve saving a girl from harm by driving her down the side of a mountain (in a jeep?) so fast that people from outer space could see what we were doing (i called my buddy in an airplane who saw it).

Hey Timmy!!!
Rush gave me the waitlist, so I gave them the boot! Made the committment to stay in Colorado which actually feels good. I feel like I can make an emotional attachment to my house now that I know we aren't selling it. Although we are still trying to figure out how we are going to afford it with me not working. I am signed up to teach one online class next fall, but that won't be bringing in the big teacher bucks--these bucks are significantly smaller than other professions' bucks anyway.

I am delerious today. I am trying to write a 3 hour seminar for tonight on Foucault. He was the main social theorist in my dissertation so I think I am trying to bring up too much stuff for these poor, unsuspecting, graduate students. Oh well, grad school is supposed to be hard, so I might as well sock it to 'em.

I bet you a virtual beer that you hear from Loyola on or before May 27.

Foucault was into S+M. that's why he talked so much about prisoners

Bizarre. I think you looked like you--your myspace photos often only showed you being pounced on by other women. You had darker skin, mocha-colored with soft curly black hair. We were snorkeling off Catalina Island (can you even do that?) and I was wearing my triathlon wetsuit (been thinking about doing alcatraz tri lately, so that may be why). You were in board shorts. When we finished snorkeling we went to eat mussels--like a scene out of a J. Crew catalog. Then we made out.

I think I like your depiction of me better. I am often swarmed by other men, but they are only asking for LOR's for grad school these days. Sigh. Say, when are you moving to NO, LA? We (hubby and toddler insurgent) may be going there to visit our friend who just finished med school before he leaves to go to his residency up in some Ted Kadzinsky woodlands somewhere.

your dream was excellent. a typical day in the land of mota. i'm not moving til the beginning of august. i was gonna go down in June to start taking classes for my MPH but said f$ck it i'm going to europe instead. so i'm in europe all of june and july and have like 3 days before orientation to get my act together. is this your friend who is the nicest person you've ever met? are you getting any vacation time before we start this 4 year orgy/party?

Yes. Same friend. I have never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. Makes me seem like a really catty b*tch, but I can deal.

We are going to Martha's Vineyard in July for a week and a half. My hubby's sister and her husband have more money than God and rent a house on the ocean every summer for 2 months to "escape" their Georgetown DC life. I would be bitter except they are also incredibly kind and generous people. I think I was more excited getting the Vineyard invite this year than my Colorado acceptance!
Then, the weekend after that, my moms is coming in to watch Oscar and the hubby and I are going on a trip for 5 days. Don't know where yet: Cabo, San Francisco, San Diego. Any suggestions? Preferably somewhere Frontier flies since we have miles to cash in.

God, I hope so.

hotter. she was like an asian/white/french mut.

go to cabo - i go there every other year and that's where i learned the meaning of mota...you roll to clubs and outside you get bombarded by people chanting my name...kinda nice. its spicily hot in the summer and there are some awesome resorts. stay at one right on the main strip of resorts if you want a girls gone wild kind of time or one in the hills adjacent for something more private/romantic/tommyleepamelaanderson.

how soon is it ok to hook up with an ex who hits you up for a booty call after breaking up with her boyfriend? (2 days?)

as soon as she hits you up you should tap that. why are you posting this? you should be there right now.
enjoy your afternoon.

ditto. As a matter of fact, you should have forseen the impending breakup and been waiting at her front door to pick up the wreckage.

patience y'all. she's coming over at 230.

I found this great website that has all these funny pics on it so I was trying them out. Unfortunately, the pixel requirement for our avatar distorts most of the pics and makes the writing illegible. Check it out:

her husband has a cool site too:

Rayhan, I miss you.

I bet that is a huge load off of your mind! Yea, I really wish I knew if we could stay here - it is most unsettling to not know when you may have to throw all your crap in boxes once more! Personally, I have an average of moving once per year for the last 3 years :( one word sums it up - exhausting!

You are on for that beer! I hope you win, but I am feeling like I am going to languish in waitlist land longer than that.

Good luck with your seminar - I am sure it will be great - wish I could be there! I had a HUGE lapse of sanity and maybe a malfunction of my frontal lobe regionn (you know, the seat of "executive functions"—planning, impulse control and reasoning) and I signed up for 60 hours this week at work without realizing it until it was too late  I will be on day 5 of 7 when I go in today, some are 12 hour shifts (7a – 7p now), others 8 (7a – 3p or 3p – 11p and today is only an 8, thank God). Nevertheless, I am already burned out! I really hope I can make it through the last few days without killing a few nurses along the way or feeling an intense urge to jump out a window while screaming! Thank goodness we are on the ground floor!
