Anyone else in this situation?

I submitted my application 1st batch; however, I only recently took my DAT (July 15th) so my official DAT scores are not uploaded on AADSAS yet!

I'm really worried that because my scores aren't in yet, my chances of getting into any US dental school are drastically reduced 🙁 I faxed in unofficial scores to dental schools that accepted them, but I figure that getting an interview without official scores is a long shot.
I think my stats are competitive, the only thing holding my application back is the time it takes to upload the DAT scores!

Is anyone else in this situation?

Check the "post your timeline" thread--there are lots of people who have to wait for their DAT scores to upload. From what I've seen, it usually takes around two weeks.

You aren't a late applicant. Sure, you won't have access to the very first interview dates available, but it's fine.

Thanks for the assurance Glimmer1991, hopefully it takes around 2 weeks for DAT scores to upload. I called earlier this week and I was told it may take 3-4 weeks.

This waiting game has got me checking AADSAS and my email several times during the day. 😛

Don't fret too much about your timing. I know a few people who got into multiple schools after finishing their aps in august or early september, and they didn't have top percentile stats either. Everyone on here just freaks out about being in the 1st, 2nd, or, god forbid, 3rd batch!

Try to check on Wednesday and Friday evenings, from what I've seen that's when they update AADSAS with the scores.

I applied a month ago and took my DAT on July 16th. Still waiting for ADA and AADSAS to hurry up!

if it helps, it took my scores about 16 or 17 days to be uploaded. just give it some time they will be up soon!
