my friend from college who watches every reality show there is told me about it. the episodes are on youtube and while they clearly aren't representative of most physicians and their spouses they're still funny as hell

Not to mention looking at the way it portrays the two black female doctors on the show. Hell, you can't tell their behavior apart from the trashy wives when they're all in the "party" scenes.

It's Bravo. You're bound to get people who pull each other's weave off, slap them silly, throw wine on each other, and cry. If they showed real doctor's wives or female doctors who aren't divalicious(there are some classmates who would fit right in!), it won't be good TV.

Seen it and there's no actually no difference between it and The Real Housewives of Atlanta. In fact, you'll only know which you're watching if it tells you first on the screen. Ain't no scorn like that of an angry black woman.

I'm so happy you started this thread. I wanted to do it myself but I was pretty ashamed of my awful bravo addiction. I cannot believe people like this exist. I could go on for hours about how embarrassing these women are...here are a few things I learned:

1. Never call a psychiatrist a psychologist or you're going to be told to catch fire
2. There is a limit to how much crap you can inject into your lips
3. Even orthopedic surgeons can be broke, but with the help of a British medical mistress everything can be okay
4. Do everything you can to hide your hood past
5. Don't wear those shady boots!

1. Never call a psychiatrist a psychologist or you're going to be told to catch fire
2. There is a limit to how much crap you can inject into your lips
3. Even orthopedic surgeons can be broke, but with the help of a British medical mistress everything can be okay
4. Do everything you can to hide your hood past
5. Don't wear those shady boots!

Actually, I have to disagree. The two female doctors on the show are portrayed as incredibly intelligent, hard-working, and well-composed. It's the doctors' wives who get into the big fights. I may not be a black woman, but I definitely identify with Jackie in that I have the same reaction to loud and aggressive social situations she does. Complete verbal shutdown.

I couldn't sit through the whole thing. But watching in sporadic chunks, the phrase "doctor's wife" must have been said 20+ times... pretty silly show.

It almost came off as satirical -- like something that would be a SNL skit or similar.

Also kind of funny that most of them likely act nothing like they do on the show...but bravo knows what kind of audience it serves. They need combative, materialistic, (and seemingly "ghetto") actors for their series or else the ratings are zilch.

While none of the "real housewives" genre is quality TV, I see even less coming from this version. Imagine it will be cancelled soon enough.

At the bottom of the show they were advertising yet another bravo series: "LA Shrinks" ... boy, that will be a winner.

I watch almost all the Bravo shows.

This show in particular is the one that seems more scripted than all the others. Not to mention the fact that Mariah pitched the show to Bravo for years. She wants to be famous. She did her homework and knows what sells. I wouldn't be surprised if last nights "black tie brawl" was completely staged.

After just two episodes, it actually makes the female physicians look really good. The wives are horrible.

I agree with the comments that the female docs were portrayed to be normal women. I thought it was gonna be a straight up trashfest but thankfully it wasn't the case. I still feel queasy spending an hour watching a Bravo show 😱

Caught 30 minutes of this dumpster fire a couple days ago. It seems like most of the actual doctors in the show are portrayed relatively well. Everyone else seems like a disaster, especially the ortho doc's crazy wife with the huge lips.

Not that I don't think the other one might have been implied, but still. And this is mainly because he said "This is what happens to these people" and not "This is what can't happen to people who aren't like this."

yup! Seriously this show is terrible but like most of the train wrecks on bravo I'll probably keep watching it...

the female doctors on the show are fine, they seem like ladies I could easily be friends with. Now the "doctor's wives"... that's another story. I just wanna say to their husbands, dude you can NOT just marry the first pretty face you see! (big lips excluded cuz she looks terrible)

The drama llama with the wives...eh. Having a documentary with just the two female docs could be interesting. I wish the ortho guy could help fix my bones

I love the other bravo shows, but this one makes me sick. They all act like they're so entitled because they married a doctor. What have they done with their lives? Nothing. They didn't spend 12+ years working toward a career (with the exception of the female docs). And the blonde one is just scary. Did the ortho guy marry her before or after all those injections? Do they seriously not see how those lips have gotten heinously out of hand?
