Anyone else try to find signs that they are getting an interview/acceptance?

For instance: whenever my Yahoo!(TM) refresh takes a long time, I initially think that the mail must be jammed with interview invites! I close my eyes, just in case those little invites are too shy to make an appearance.

Yes! Yesterday my mailman was late and I thought maybe his bag was extra heavy with all of my invites and/or acceptances and so it was taking him longer to carry it around 🙄

cruelest thing EVA - I have a separate yahoo mail account just for med. school application stuff (don't want anything lost in a spam filter). So anytime the inbox has anything in it, it is a med school email. Well...

Yahoo sent me a damn email for yahoo jobs...GRRRRR.. I saw that "inbox - 1" thing on the first page and got all excited for NOTHING..

And why can't mail come on Veteran's day?

This thread is sooo funny because it's true! I think everything is a sign. When I was waiting to hear back from a pharmacy school in Virginia, I kept noticing when I'd drive down a street called "Fairfax" and then again on "Richmond".... I knew it was a sign! And I got in so maybe it was!

Our mail doesn't come until about 5:30 on my street. Instead of explaining it through some sort of inherent flaw inthe postal system (like no mail on Veteran's Day, Flopoptimist!) I assume it is because my mailcarrier must be sorting through MY mail to put med school letters on top!

LOL Aaah yes. I'll do stupid stuff like "If I don't catch this green light, I'm not getting into medical school!!!" So I'll zoom up to like 80 and pass the light pretty much after it turns red. There's other stuff too, like...if I'm mean to someone I feel super guilty about it because I feel my "karma" will swing back around in the form of a rejection.

It lingers on my mind constantly, all these stupid you will be accepted if/you will be rejected if games. AAAHHH!

Sometimes I lose too, in which case I just say it doesn't count. ;0
