Hello everyone. I still cant get over my 8 in verbal and was wondering if anyone has ever had an MCAT section rescored by hand or heard any stories where it was done. I got off track at one point and had to erase and rebubble at least 10 questions. The computer may have read some of those questions as two bubbles and counted them wrong. That is why I was thinking of rescoring. Input from anyone would be great, I just cant believe I did so bad, I finished the section 10 minutes ahead of time, felt good about it, and went back over my answers, and I averaged 11's on ever AAMC VR practice test before the test. I also average a 10 on all the EK's tests in the 101 questions. Now I am just venting, but seriously has anyone heard of someones score actually going up or down, or do they mainly stay the same.

Thanks

In the history of mcat regrades, there has never been a score change.

Please note: Answer sheets or test booklets will not be examined for indications of misgridded answers. This is a determination we cannot make.

So it's probably unlikely your score will go up. But if all $50 buys you is peace of mind it might still be worth it to you.

I think people have had their writing sample regraded and the score changed, but I don't think anyone's ever had a score changed after a regrade on a multiple choice section.
