Just wondering if anyone has gotten accepted with a bio score below a 17? I haven't taken my DAT yet but was just wondering.

Yea I know but even then I feel like I may have a shot at my state school and that I might at least get an interview, but hey what's the point in discussing that when I haven't taken it yet.Weren't you going to apply without bachelors at matriculation? If you get anything below 20, I don't think you will have much of a chance.

But let's say for next cycle, when I would have a degree at matriculation, then would a low bio score still be fine... b/c I'd rather not retake it especially if I do well on every other section(and have a high gpa).
Obviously I am not preparing to do awful, I just feel like bio is my weakest section and since I've been averaging like 16 on practice tests, I'm just wondering in case I don't do well.As you were told in this thread already, preparing to do poorly in the bio section is an awful plan. You haven't taken the DAT yet, why are you anticipating a low score in that section?
I really want to get in early this cycle so I have no plans to wait to take the DAT much later. I feel great for GC, OC, PAT, RC, and QR. I have been averaging like 21 for all of them on bootcamp tests, except for o-chem which I've been averaging 23.If you really don't feel prepared why rush taking it? The bio section is a huge section of importance on the exam and you can't just try to wing it. I think you would be better off waiting until next spring to take it after you get 2 more semesters of solid bio coverage. It's not worth settling for a 17 no matter what your GPA is.
Then just hammer away at cliffs. If you are confident you can get 20+ in all the other sections make sure you understand all the big picture concepts for bio and you should be fine. I wouldn't worry too much about fixating on details if you are close to your exam. Just be confident with the bio section and tell yourself you know it. That's the main reason I don't want to push back, because I feel confident for everything else.
And it's not like I haven't taken many bio classes, I have taken intro bio, plant bio, ecology/evolution, and cell/molec but I don't remember all the tiny details(especially cell/molec) that the DAT seems to love to ask.
Yea my current plan is going over all 5 bootcamp bio tests and all 10 qvault bio tests and making flashcards for everything I don't know or don't understand, go over them like crazy, and then read of parts of AP Cliffs I'm weak on.Then just hammer away at cliffs.
