Anyone get any acceptances/rejections/CCL from Temple lately?

Well?

Yes, I am out-of-state and I got put on the CCL.

I posed this question on the other thread, but I'm going to ask again here. Do all applicants who interviewed get either accepted or put on this CCL? Or, do some actually get rejected outright post-interview?

Also, what are our chances now that we're on this CCL?

I've been on the CCL for about two weeks (my interview was on Dec 17).. I'm still awaiting word.

I interviewed a little over a month ago (Dec. 11) and have not heard anything yet, not even a CCL.

Daredevil, are you a PA resident? If not, then I don't think you'll hear from them until late spring.

Nope, I"m not.. Thanks for the info.

to those on CCL, would you mind posting your stats so we can see what's considered competitive to be listed as CCL?

by the way, i think temple will take many off the ccl (lots of schools like temple end up getting a large part of their class from ccl or waitlists).

My stats are as follows: 3.6gpa, 30mcat.

Caveman, I hope you're right. But I'm out of state, so I know it's not going to be easy. I really really hope I get into Temple!!

Received invite to interview in early November. Interviewed Dec 4, received CCL letter Jan 10.
My stats:
3.61 gpa, 32P MCAT
I am out of state also. The letter specifically says that out of state people will probably be notified in late spring. My interviewer said that they do this because they know many of the people from out of state get into their state schools and end up withdrawing from Temple, so it kind of helps them along in the process by waiting longer to notify out of staters.

you guys seem to have really good chances. it seems to me that when you're out of state they don't very much trust that you'll go there if accepted, so they wait until the end to see if you'll bite. they probably TRY to fill up before that with exceedingly good out of state applicants (dr. kermit says he knows out of staters that got in immediately) and in state applicants. but they surely take MANY people off the ccl. besides, how many of these great stat out of staters are gonna stay with temple? so those spots are just waiting for CCL people. plus many instaters just don't go to temple either, so those spots are good for you guys too. besides, although they might TRY, how could they fill up with people that will go there without including you guys that both have good numbers.

my best advice. they're looking to lock you up right away. short of living in PA, the best thing you can do (now!) is to send them a letter (if you want to) that commits you to that school. if i'm placed there, i'd give lots of thought to sending them a letter saying that if accepted, i'll definitely go there. even if a better interview is coming up..maybe you shouldn't let this opportunity escape. just a thought.

hey Kermit, what numbers did your friends have? or what other qualities made them exceptional enough to be taken right away?

I am a girl Caveman and was accepted four weeks after my interview. I don't like posting my stats, but they are above Temple's averages and I'm a PA resident. Both of my friends who were accepted immediately after their interviews were from NY. They had 3.6+ and over 30s on their MCATs. Hope this helps you out.

Aww Caveman, I'm flattered, but if you've followed some of my other posts, I'm involved in a long-term relationship. Good luck w/both MCP and Temple. I was accepted to both, but will withdraw my MCP acceptance later this week to help out some fellow applicants.

Anything lately? I'm still waiting.

The cool thing about temple is that they have A LOT of movement as tuition is so high, even for instate people (due to PA funding being so low per student). As a result, attending private schools is as economic as going to Temple. Just hang tight and stuff will work out! --Trek

yeah. ME. CCLed a few days after my interview. they're pretty fast. now how do i get OFF this list an into the accepted folder?

otter, i believe some are rejected right away..that's what the letter seemed to insinuate

Hi Caveman - Congrats for at least getting on that CCL list. I guess we out-of-staters have some waiting to do. I have not interviewed at MCPH, but I know you've visited both Temple and MCPH. Which school did you like better?

Yes, the letter did say that "everyone who is presented to the Committee is either rejected or put on CCL." But I wasn't sure what "everyone who is presented to the Committee" meant... whether it means those who interviewed or those whose files have been reviewed.

Just curious, but what does CCL stand for? All I can think of is Competitive Candidate List. Is that it?
