Anyone get into Albany?

Hey out there. I got my acceptance email today from Albany and was wondering who else is going to Albany. When's orientation and when does school start? I haven't received my info packet yet, so any info would be appreciated.

I got into Albany but decided to choose my state school instead. I was accepted for a couple of months (until I withdrew last week) and didn't receive anything about orientation or start dates. I would email the admissions office, they are always helpful and would surely answer your question.

Congrats on your acceptance, Albany is a great school and the faculty are the nicest of any school I've seen. It was really tough for me to make my final decision (I felt bad turning them down🙁 )

I'm a 1st yr student at AMC now. Last year, the orientation started on 8/28(Wednesday). It's probably the best to call the admissions office for more info (518-262-5521).

If you're looking for a 2BD apt, my apt is available for $650/mo(325 per person) and it's only 5min. walk to the lecture hall. Please let me know if any of you(class of 2007) are interested! 🙂

hi there! big congrats on your acceptance!!!
that's awesome--i interviewed at albany on May 1 and really loved the school and the faculty. i believe that orientation starts on the 2nd week of Aug, if i remember correctly from what they told us at the interview. at that point (may 1), they still didn't have printouts of the new calendar for interviewees.

just wondering whether or not you got in off the WL, or if you got immediately accepted... and also if you don't mind sharing, when did you interview?

reason for all my ?s is that i'm currently on the WL and wondering if they've moved their WL since 4/18.

I'll be a first year at Albany in the fall as well. Orientation is Aug. 27 and 28th, at least that's what they told me 🙂 Classes start Sept 2 and they said a packet would be mailed sometime in July, mid to end of the month. Congrats to all of you fellow AMCers and best of luck to all you on the WL!

Hey guys thanks for all the info- I called the admissions office and they also said that the orientation is Aug 27/28 and it is mandatory, school starts Sept 7, I believe....
trubluwolv- I got on off the waitlist about two weeks ago. I interviewed in January. So there's hope!!!Good luck!!
- I would love to hear from some of my future classmates out there- What's up guys??? when are you moving in? Where are you moving to? Any other tidbits would be welcome. I can't' wait to meet you all!!

thanks for the info, garnet girl... i interviewed on may 1, so i guess i still have to "serve my time", so to speak.
