Anyone having problems with the PS character counter?

Each time I submit the essay, it cuts off/deletes the last few words of my PS even though I'm well below the character limit. Both the MS word character counter (with spaces) and the AMCAS counter tell me I'm below the 5300 limit, yet it continues to cut off parts of my essay 😡

I had the same problem last year. Just shorten the essay. That's the only way to get it all to fit. Sorry for the bad news!

Save your PS as a .txt file, then cut and paste into the application. Proof read it carefully because the conversion will display commands like such as enter as a string of special characters and something like "*&%$" will appear throughout your essay. Cut and paste of a .doc file will definitely cause problems with the display, character count, etc.
