Anyone hear anything from Stanford?

Has anyone heard any news about Stanford about interviews, rejections, secondaries? Let me know please. I completed it a few months ago, haven't heard a thing.

i haven't heard anything, but i know a few of the sdner's heard back (raincrew, pikayou, etc). Check out the official 2004 interview thread sometime, if you haven't already.

me and someone else (don't remember who, there was a thread on this last night) received an e-mail yesterday saying that Stanford had sent out a letter requesting an interview several weeks ago and still hadn't heard from us. Needless to say, it seems to have gotten lost in the mail. Good thing for the e-mail.

I do know that Stanford accepts half of all applicants for interviews. They take the numbers with some formula and just cut it in half. Everyone above the median is sent an interview request.

This is what I have from their website: 5813 applicants, 3208 secondaries sent out, 2155 completed files reviewed, 615 interview invites, and finally 507 interviews completed. Acceptances were: 186. This was for the class of 2001.

So far I haven't heard anything either, complete since mid September. Sometimes I wonder if my mail is getting lost, like Rendar's, but that just seems like paranoid anxiety on my part. How would I even know if it was? What could I even do about it? I'm trying to just remain calm in this process...

about half get secondaries, but i don't think it works exactly like you describe it. i think they only interview 500-600.

It was secondaries then. I don't know how accurate what I said about them taking the top 50% and sending them secondaries is, I'm just repeating what the Stanford dean said at his presentation.

Nada. My file was complete there in late August. No rejection, no response to emails, nothingat all. 🙄
