I haven't heard anything either. I think i'll call them in the morning and see what they say. Gigi was really cool, so I don't think she would mind the call. I don't think anyone will hear anything untill after Christmas though. When did you interview? I thought that the tour sucked when I was there. If I get in I think I will call and ask to come up for a second look....and an instate tuition scholarship.🙂

i'm a little anxious about this too. being slightly anal, i found buried on the interview feedback that the committee first met on a wednesday a couple of years ago, 2000 i think. so i am guessing they probably met today, if not last wednesday. i'm sure we'll hear soon. i too am hoping for an instate tuition scholarship. need some incentives! good luck all

also, does anyone have any match list info for UNMC? i'm going to request it if (hopefully when) i get in. i'm curious what it will look like.

No doubt! They have a nice school, but 30K+ a year for tuition would be hard to swallow. The really cool part was that they said that 50%-60% of the out-of-staters get the instate tuition.

I don't have any idea about the match list. Come to think of it, I don't know anything about the clinical aspects of the school. We never got to really see any of the hospital, or meet any M3's or M4's when I was there.😕

on my interview (mid october, cant remember exact day) we had tons of m3 and m4's there. They gave us the tours and told us the real stuff about the school, it was nice to get an opinion from a real student.

i'm an instater, so the tuition is damn cheap for me.

I was just hoping for an early x-mas present this week or early next. probably the best x-mas present i could receive.

I called UNMC today. They had their first meeting and voting last night. Unfortunately, they didn't get to my file, even though I interviewed on the second day available. The worst part is that they don't meet again until the middle of January.😡 Why the delay😕 At that rate it will take till august to get through all the files😱 Anyway, looks like I have a long time to wait now🙁 . Oh well!

Somone is very impatient, especially when they are already accepted to three other schools.

Like I said I will get back to you when I actually make my journey back to the mailing address they'll send something to.

Also just to let you know they don't meet again until January 15th-ish, and then they meet every week after that until the class is full. So if you haven't heard anythign from UNMC yet, you best be patient for a few more weeks.

Just wanted to let those of you know. A friend of mine was accepted at UNMC. She received the letter around Christmas.

For those still waiting, if you havne't heard from them yet, you won't here from them until mid-January at the earliest.

i'm a little frustrated at UNMC, my homestate school. i'm not professing to be a "superstar," but I know my numbers and application as a whole is quite abit above par for this school. furthermore, i interviewed on the first day available. i have other acceptances, and i really was/am interested in UNMC. i don't know what's gotten into them.

interviewers who write down constantly on an evaluation form for the duration of the interview. i found it disruptive, and it didn't happen anywhere else i've been. how about a real conversation? grrrr unmc....

Hehe....I also found this quite annoying when I interviewed there in early dec. My interviewer knew absolutely nothing about me - well, except for my name and state of residence 🙂 So, the whole interview consisted of me talking about my school/classes/ec's/and other stuff one could easily have obtained by skimming through my application. All in all, kinda of a pointless interview. Oh well, it was only a 10 hr drive

As for my friend's stats, I'm trying to get them from her. However as the above poster stated it's the superstars who heard anything in December.

Just remember the ADCOM meets in mid January, and then once a week after that until the class is full. They'll send rejection letters out in March.
