If you wouldn't mind, would you post your stats? Also, when were your interviews at those schools?

I heard from university of Mary. My interview is in march.

The University of Mary will be interviewing students on March 15th. Invitations for an interview will be sent out over the next couple of weeks.

i contacted the University of Mary and they told me at this point they offered interviews to all transfer students with a prereq gpa of 3.45, and will send out more if their seats aren't filled yet (which sucks for me since i exceeded a 3.45 after the academic update, but was only at a 3.43 before).

as for the College of St. Scholastica, i haven't heard back either. i just sent an email to them yesterday tho.

The University of Mary will review applications after the academic update, so if your GPA goes up you may be interviewed. The University of Mary prerequisite GPA is based just on the core classes (A&P, chemistry, physics, abnormal psychology, and developmental psychology), so it may differ from the PTCAS GPA.

Last year, the University of Mary interviewed applicants with a GPA of 3.35 or higher. This year we are sending our invitations for an interview earlier. Since we are still receiving applications, we set our current cut-off point at 3.45. As we get all of the applications in, this number may change.

Sorry about the confusion.

There are two ways you could increase your GPA.
1. Retake a class. We will count retakes in up to two classes. If you retake a course more than once, we use the first retake.
a. If you took CHE 101 three times, with grades of C (2008), B (2009), A (2010), we would take the B
b. If you took CHE 101 three times, with grades of C (2008), B+ (2009), B- (2010), we would take the B+
c. If you took three courses and earned a C in each, then retook them and earned A, A, and B, we would use the two A's since they would give you the highest GPA

2. Take a higher level course. If you took organic chem (CHE 201 and CHE 202) and had a higher grade than in general chem (CHE 101 and CHE 102), we would take the organic chemistry grade.

Thanks for your comments. One of our first year students told me about this site last year. I went on a little then, but have not been on again till this past weekend. We have a good PT program here, but are not that well known.

mccomasg09 or anyone else: If you have any questions about our program, or our admissions process, and do not want to post it publically, please send free to send me a private message.

mccomasg09 the past is coming to haunt me too. I just got an email from one school that won't accept my A&P courses because they were more than 5 years old. I took them back in 2003, 2004 so it's within the 10 year mark that most schools have but this one school has a 5 year deal that I did not know about. Anyway the school was out of my go to list as soon as I realized that the tuition was too much, which was after I applied.

I assume most schools have a within 10 year requirement with prerequisites because that's all I've seen.

We have decided to increase the number of applicants that we interview. Our current GPA cut off is 3.37. This is our pre-requisite GPA, not the PTCAS pre-req GPA.

Ours is 2 semesters each of chem, Anatomy and Physiology, and Physics, along with a developmental psychology course and an abnormal psychology course. Up to two retakes considered, but for any one course only the first retake will count if a course is taken more than two times.

Is this a new decision and does this mean that you will be sending out more invitations to interview ?

We sent our some new invitations last friday and today. We may invite more people depending on how many people who have already accepted an interview decide to decline. Unfortunately, I do not know at this time if we will send our more invitations.

I would not be surprised if we did invite more applicants as other schools send out acceptance letters, but I cannot guarantee anything.
