I'm a New Zealand undergrad student and I have developed an interest to go into the field of medicine (dentistry in particular).

I'm just looking at all the options available to me: I understand that foreign students can hope to enter US med schools (without the need to the premed years) by doing a postbaccalaureate premedical course?

I'm just wondering if there are any other students from Australasia who entered a US med/dental school this way and I'd like to know what's it like for you and what you've went through?

Hey. Im from Dunedin. I have been in the states for 5 years. For what I understand it is almost imposible for foreign student to enter medical school here becaue most medical schools require the applicant to be either a citizen or permanent resident. Im not sure about dentistry; however, I assume its probably the same.
Canada, however, some schools have a certain number of spots for international students so it is more open to foreign students.

cheers
