Has anyone applied for this pilot program or interested in applying? This program is for graduates of non-accredited dental schools in north america (so basically Mexico or the caribbean). You have to have passed parts 1 and 2 of the NBDE. Its a pilot program in Arkansas and will end soon, so I'm just wondering if anyone is interested. thanks.

hi KatieJune
can u pls tell in detail about this program ,i am preparing 4r part 1 ndb and i am :luck: located in LA. thanks

The basic details are this:

Pass parts 1 and 2 of NBDE
be a resident or AR (this is very easy- basically just need a drivers license)
graduated from a north american school (Mexico or caribbean)
then they will give you permission to take the SRTA
After that you will get a provisional license for 1 yr and if you do fine, you will get a permanent license.

However, they are planning to end this program this March. The goal of this program was to get Spanish-speaking dentists in the state, but not many people have applied so they think its a waste of time. I'm just seeing if there's any interest on this board.....
