What's the deal with Emily? I used to really enjoy reading her posts, but it looks like she's given up. Does anybody know her or ever talk to her over e-mail? I know 2nd year is probably really busy and all, but geez!

Sounds like she's freaked out by SDN viewers approaching her. I can see how that might be disturbing. I'm kinda worried about it myself. I hope that viewers who are going to attend the school I will be attending send me a PM saying hello instead of calling out "Hey! You're that SwampMan dude!". I've gone pretty far in this forum, but I wouldn't have a diary. Sorry SDN! I know you want one! <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

Anyone else have these worries?

Oh yeah, I just popped over to her diary because you mentioned it. Don't worry, Emily! I don't know your life story. :D

I find the diaries pretty boring. Med school seems a whole lot like undergrad. Lots of studying punctuated by brief periods of sleep.

Each of the writers appeal to different people and there is a good amount of diversity in style, but the mechanics of med school and the life of a student only stays fresh for so long. I'm hoping it picks up when the bulk of the writers hit 3rd year.

As for the cynicism... what can you say? Life as a med student is a grind. dh

i thought 3rd year was the worst, in terms of having your own time?

I meant the quality of the posts, not the quantity.
