Anyone take an online Biochem class?

I noticed a ton of schools are requiring Biochem now. I am a post-bacc wondering if there are any respectable online Biochem classes accepted by dental schools? The reason I'm looking for an online is because I don't have my Organic sequence yet (can't register this semester because scheduling is bad) and was thinking I can get this over with. If it really looks that terrible I will just wait until I finish Organic.

I think pre-req for Biochem is at least 1st part of Organic Chem sequence. I know at my University, all of the Organic Chem class is required for Biochem but I squeezed into biochem while taking Organic Chem II since I did well in Ochem I. You might want to check on this and I am not sure how school look at "online" courses in the admission process. But I have no idea since I never taken online courses. You might want to ask the admission office before you hash out $$ into this course to see if online courses actually meet the requirement of your desired school.

not all schools accept online courses make sure this is acceptable at whatever school you are seeking admission at.

I think is is preferable to take a non-online class for required courses, but like Avicii said, you should really check with each school!

Search for old threads on SDN that may list which schools don't allow online courses. If you come up with nothing, you could always search up schools individually and read their websites; I'm sure most schools have that information on there.

Yes, you need organic chemistry to fully understand what's going on in Biochem, but I think you can still get a good grade in the class if you don't know it as long as you have an Orgo textbook that you can refer to from time to time.

No sorry, I didn't. And to be honest, I don't know if it's any good, but I knew Berkeley Extension offered Biochem online so I thought I'd throw that link out there if you were interested.

I do have a feeling it won't be terrible though, lols.
