Anyone use EK's Audio Osmosis with success recently?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Yeah, I used it quite a bit to prep. I studied prep books like mad, but every time I was in the car I played through the CDs (nerd alert). I in no way treated it as a way to learn information, but rather cement things I had learned and constantly think about MCAT topics. I would definitely say it helped. I also listened sometimes while running.

i highly doubt people use it anything other than reinforcing what they already know. you cant just rely on that to pull you through, so its hard to measure "success" based on that alone

I think it's pretty good, there's a few extremely corny pneumonics that I still remember from listening to it last year.

My gameplan is to listen to it segment by segment...so like 3 mins at a time. Take notes on each segment, then research to look up the concepts more in depth if I am confused or don't understand it. There are 483 segments, I'm planning on doing this over the next 2 months and then taking ochems over the summer and beginning a 4month modified Sn2ed schedule before taking mcat in january. Does this sound like a reasonable plan?

yeah, but make sure you are practicing soon. content review only gets you so far. practicing with questions is very important.

I use it to focus on the things that I know I'm not good at and are going to benefit from monotonous repetition like the hormones for example. I wish there was a way to cut the jokes and sound effects because they do take up a decent amount of the track when you think about it.

I got it for free, so I have no complaints, certainly better than nothing!

I edited out all of the stupid jokes. I couldn't handle listening to it over and over again. It really drove me insane. I cut off about an hour overall for the whole course, which in my opinion is a ridiculous amount of wasted time on stupid jokes.

What is everyone using in conjunction with AO? I'm going through each little segment very methodically and taking notes, I feel like this will hit on all the main concepts and then once this is done, practice tests seem to be the way to go. I don't know if I see much benefit in reading multiple review books etc, it seems like you need a working understanding of the basic content that is tested, and then you just need repetitive practice of critical thinking questions from practice tests to understand how the test makers think when creating the exam. Anyone else agree?
