Anyone waiting on Columbia?

I haven't heard anything back from Columbia yet, no interview nor a rejection. Is anyone in the same boat as me? Do you guys know when they'll be giving out more responses or is it just based on rolling admissions?

Since they were sending out february interviews 2 months ago, and I don't think they give march interviews, I'm guessing that you are out of luck at that school.

Same here! I got everything out early and have had 8 interviews including the other 2 ivies...What's the deal? At least they could reject me. Every time I call them they say they will have a decision shortly (which they have told me for the past 3 months!)

sometimes the admissions process is quite mysterious. I've seen people with 24+ on the DAT and 3.9 GPA's (With great community service) get all out rejected at the ivy's while others with ~20 and 3.5 GPA's get an interview.

sometimes it's hard to know what they are looking for 😕

Aren't we all? I interviewed with Columbia in early october and I got waitlisted in December. I'm crossing my fingers!

I was hoping to get an interview from Columbia but I guess I'm out of luck if they had already sent invitations for Feb...🙁

Yea, I've gotten into BU. Sent out the deposit, so I'm pretty sure I'm going. I was just curious about Columbia because everytime I call they just say they are still reviewing my application. Just make a decision!! If you reject me then fine, but just decide!! Lol. But oh well, according to what sirdeadcat said, it is prob. a no, but I'm super excited about BU. Have you heard back from any schools?

Columbia is going weird, I guess b/c they don't have exactly any taste we can expect. Sometimes they have students around AA 20 students and sometimes they have ones around over 24...I think they have own their double standards. btw, I turned down columbia b/c I don't like to specialize and if so, it's gonna be wasting my time to focus on the classes with medical students. I have one from columbia, saying that it looks like a deep learning w/ medical students, but it won't because the only thing he could find was competitiveness and nothing going to deeper as he thought. I don't know what exactly is going on, but it's true that it's not worth of it in the case the board exam would switch their grading to P/F. More clinical education is needed to specialize, too.
