i've been to the genome sequencing and analysis conference (GSAC) and am going to local genetics conferences soon. do these conferences help at all?

I'm going to be at a conference too, called the ImmunoHistocompatability Conference/IHWC in Seattle. I thik it should be really interesting. There will be a variety of immunologists there discussing important issues in transplantation/etc.
