Anyone with a GPA under a 3.5, and a science gpa under 3.4 get an interview/acceptance to Maryland?

I'm an instate applicant and I really wanted to get into Maryland.

My friend just applied this cycle with around a 3.2 science, 3.4 gpa and a 21 DAT. He didn't receive any interview invites yet from MD, so I was wondering if anyone here got an interview or acceptance with similar stats there?

Mine are slightly better, but yeah pretty much. I have like a 3.3 science, 3.5 and a 22 DAT. But idk if its worth it to apply now or just take a 5th year informal post bac. Id really want to apply now but...yea :/
I'm working with a 3.4-3.5 oGPA and a 3.2 sGPA. However, I have a massive amount of W's.

I think I may just mark Maryland off and save myself some money. If you're in-state, could you not apply, do the post-bacc, then if you don't get in apply again upon completion of the post-bacc?

My oGPA and sGPA are right under 3.6 and my DAT is a 20. I'm in state and don't have an interview invite from them either :/ I received the supplemental months ago but nothing else. I know my scores aren't great but they're average and it still doesn't seem to be working in my favor sadly!

Maryland interviews well after December. Met a girl who said she got in from an interview in late February. Hope isn't lost 🙂

I have an MS and I'm in state and I called about retaking the DAT a few weeks ago and how they might as well just look at the 19 AA I had before and admissions said oh you're in state a few weeks won't matter. I haven't heard of many In State people getting interviews at this point! I don't even have the supplement and I have a 4.0 MS GPA

Sadly MD is not very nice to its in-state applicants. Only taking 50% IS with a smaller class size makes for tough competition for in state people. Many (including myself) have had to go OOS. You'll probably get an interview, good luck!!

I had a 3.5 gpa and a 3.97 sGPA with 21AA/21PAT and I didn't get an interview.

That is a pretty small class. In 2014, Maryland was 15th in number of overall applicants but 49th in class size. That is a lot of competition for everyone but it is one of the lowest in-state acceptance rates for state schools.
