After applying to 30+ schools, I don't understand why I haven't gotten any invites yet! It's not like I applied to any schools out of my reach...this is driving me nuts!!
if you want useful feedback you should prob post your stats and the range of schools your applying to
Agreed
you only posted this to reach 1337 posts.
I'm a CA/3.8/32 with the usual volunteering, leadership, etc...light on research with only one semester of basic research and about a year as data manger for a clinical study. I applied to these schools and have been complete at most by mid-August.

IMO:
you should get interviews from most non-big name, non-cali schools
Your stats are competitive, but not stellar, so I wouldn't bank on any Cali schools or big names, as all of which are insanely competitive and even if one had 4.0/40 mcat there is still no guarentee.
not saying you don't have a good shot at cali schools, but just don't be surprised or discouraged if you don't get interviews from those.
on 2nd thought, have you gotten 2ndaries from all of your schools?
i had the same LizzyM score, applied to a similar list of schools, was complete about two weeks after you were and waited six weeks for my first invites.
i know it's hard not to check email 5 times a day after you get complete emails, but hang in there. patience is key.
sux about the CA thing though, good luck with that. Here CA people are the best represented group after the in-state folks, so a lot of you are getting pushed far afield....
The schools on that list are all of the schools which I have completed a secondary. I also applied to UCSF but haven't gotten a secondary and a few others that I chose not to complete.
Fine.
Here's how to tell if and where you'll get into med school:
1) List the schools you've applied to
2) If you can spell out your class, you'll be accepted to one of the schools used
3) Don't bother to even fill out secondaries to the schools not including the letters of your class
Some people end up reapply a few times until they figure this system out, all the while needlessly refining their application and retaking the MCAT.
Good news for you, you are going to get into one of the following:

This is the main reason it is recommended that you apply broadly and to a good number of schools - better chance to spell out your class.
Fine.

Brilliant. I may switch to this system to help predict interviews! Here's how to tell if and where you'll get into med school:

lol...It's going to suck next year with 'sixteen', e.g, an 'X' in the title.
Everyone to apply to Texas schools 😛.

I'm feeling the stress as well, although I have received ONE invite, at a top ranked school, which I took to be a good sign.
But I haven't received any others since that invite in mid Oct.
I am a graduate student in public health. Undergrad GPA 3.65, grad GPA 3.7, 33Q. Basic sciences, public health, and social sciences research. Lots of leadership and volunteering in health-related and environmental service orgs, clinical volunteering, unique undergrad major, and expressed interest in working in a rural/underserved community in most of my 2ndaries. One major weakness: science GPA is a 3.35.
I was a little bit late with some 2ndaries - 6 went out in August, 6 went out in Sept, 4 went out in Oct. Could that be why? Is it my stats?
Is it to the point now where it's pretty clear I'm nobody's top choice? Should I be following up? I got the "app complete" email from everywhere I applied. Sorry. So many Qs. Panic setting in.
The best bet is to target your apps to the strength of your record: not too high, not too low.
Did you do that?
