So has anyone gone through a cycle with no interviews? How did you deal with it? Any advice? Contemplate quitting?

down on my luck,
😎

Well at the rate I'm going I'm not going to have any interviews this cycle. I'm just looking to analyze what happen(What do you want, I'm a science nerd. I'm very analytical.) and regroup. I've started asking places the rejected me about what I need to do for next cycle. Also I'm analyzing which schools I should ignore.(Anybody that's read my posts knows MCW and Albany are out of the question given their antics.) I'm not going to quit, just move on.(Oh and apply to DO schools.) Seriously though, if you really want this (and who doesn't want a doc who really wants to do his best.) you just don't even consider quitting.

Definitely contact the schools where you applied and ask for some input on how you can make your application stronger for next year. The schools may ask you to do things such as take some additional coursework to raise a marginal GPA, re-take the MCAT, do some more volunteering and shadowing, get new LORs, or write a new PS. Start doing whatever they suggest right away. You have a good six months to beef up your app before it's time to re-submit AMCAS. And like Dave said, if med school is what you really want, don't give up. Many people apply multiple times before finally getting in, and knowing what NOT to do is just as valuable (maybe more!) than knowing what to do is. Hope this helps, and best of :luck: to you for the next app cycle.

Well if anybody would know about persistence and applying multiply times it'd be you Q 😀

Anyway Zin it couldn't hurt to ask them about your app. The worst that can happen is that they blow you off or give you stupid advice.(Which does happen but life is funny like that at times.) Still if you keep chugging along using an OODA loop eventually you'll get there.

Anyway that reminds me, I probably should look into grad school right about now.(The main reason I don't want to do that is if I finish a MS in 2 years then I might need to retake the MCAT.)
