Definitely contact the schools where you applied and ask for some input on how you can make your application stronger for next year. The schools may ask you to do things such as take some additional coursework to raise a marginal GPA, re-take the MCAT, do some more volunteering and shadowing, get new LORs, or write a new PS. Start doing whatever they suggest right away. You have a good six months to beef up your app before it's time to re-submit AMCAS. And like Dave said, if med school is what you really want, don't give up. Many people apply multiple times before finally getting in, and knowing what NOT to do is just as valuable (maybe more!) than knowing what to do is. Hope this helps, and best of

to you for the next app cycle.
