People who got an offer yesterday, How much time is given to you for sending them your deposit ?

Who said that Feb interviewees would hear back "mid-March"...Sandra?
So vague and NOT what they said when I interviewed on Feb 17th (we were told that a round of acceptances for Feb batches would be sent out by Feb 28/Mar 1)... 😱

*Edit: I just called and was told "sending out acceptance batches are at the discretion of the committee...so even though they mentioned at interview that Feb interviewees would be sent a round of acceptances at the end of Feb/Mar 1...they might take 1 or 2 weeks more than that."
This, plus the fact that a bunch of Nov/Pre-dec interviewees were sent acceptances yesterday...shows that USC is behind and will thus make all of us Feb interviewees nervous for the next few weeks! Lol *sigh*

I got that letter and I thought I would surely hear back in the second batch but I got passed up. 😕

Actually, I didn't get that card.....when I saw someone's post that he or she got christmas card from the school, I lost my confidence and hope but yesterday's e-mail proved that no one should not give up their hope until you receive e-mail or letter from the school.

I know waiting is the most painful thing for many of you in this period but please be patient and just pray to God....it helped me a lot....^^

i don't necessary think that they are behind.. haha. I just think they want to make sure whoever they are giving acceptance to are the ones they REALLY want. this might be having them want to wait a little to get the perfect people to give acceptance to. who knows? haha but knowing the people in admissions.. they aren't slacking.. really good bunch of people and they do a great job doing what they do.

I agree with you. I don't think they are behind. They are just taking their time in making sure they offer it to the people they want. Like PreD had mentioned, someone who interviewed with him/her in feb got an offer yesterday. i'm still crossing my fingers.....:xf:

my friend had an interview yesterday and she said they told her they would either get an answer in the beginning of march or middle... So maybe they are telling all of those that are calling that they get back to us by MIDDLE of march to have people get off their back, and still hopefully get back to us earlier than that?

Also they said about 50 % of the class was now filled! this sucks!👎

remember.... they did a round of acceptance yesterday.... filling up another 25%.... damn this sucks! seems like they are telling everyone in feb that they can possibly hear from them by next week....

by the way anyone who interviewed in feb receive their packet yet?

I am not sure what the 50% represents...
Does that mean about 70 people (out of 144 seats) have already made a deposit?
I hope that number also includes those who did not accept their offer... 🙁

I think what she meant was that they sent out another 25 % acceptances yesterday... but Im not sure

I agree...the second batch was given the acceptances only yesterday, so they still have 2 weeks left (I believe Feb-later acceptances are given 15 days) to make their decisions/place deposits.
Not all will accept, so it would be HIGHLY unlikely that 50% of the class would be full before they send out the next round of acceptances (but even so, 50% left = 72 spots left!!!)

Nonetheless, it is still slightly frustrating for us Feb interviewees, since we were told we would know end of Feb...and I feel your nerves lol!

Hopefully great news will come soon for all of those who want/deserve USC 🙂

It seems like that possibility is out the window for most Feb interviewees.

Hopefully we'll know something in March. I'll echo DazzlingSmile87's statement and wish everyone the best of luck! I have high hopes of getting in at USC. It truly is an awesome school despite all the trash that is said about it. 👍
 
i was interviewed in february as well. after finding out that some people received acceptance emails this week, i felt my heart sink. but it seems like only pre-december interviewees got the email from what i could tell.
i guess we'll just have to wait it out.
also, kevinrho mentioned that his usc account went from 'under review' to 'alternate.' is he talking about the aadsas status? or were we given separate usc accounts that i am not aware about?! 😱 i checked my aadsas application and USC isn't even on the 'school designations' part anymore. wonder what that means...

anyway, good luck to everyone. try not to stress out about it. we don't have much we can do at this point but to wait!
 
If you're not accepted from USC you are automatically put on the waitlist. So hope is alive until orientation for USC.
 
Usc has an account on their website. Its under already applied. But according to those who answered my question said everyone who interviews

Seems to have taken awhile. They told us (on 23rd) that they would mail those the very next day. I was even expecting I might see it in the mail today.

Called today because I interviewed on the 10th and haven't received my post interview package. They said they already sent it out, but will send me another one.

I asked if the second round had been sent out (even though i knew it they've sent it out already). He said yes. I asked if people who interviewed on the day I interviewed was considered for the second round and he said yes.

"Everyone for that date was considered for the second round. We are expecting to have at least 50% of the class filled within the next week and a half. You are still being considered for the next two rounds."
 
Got in on February 23
Mailed the blue sheet "post-interview" form out to the school on February 17
Interviewed on February 2
 
$1,000 paid within fifteen days of acceptance e-mail
 
man.. i cant sleep. this waiting game is killa. when do u think they will be sending out their third wave of acceptance

middle or end of march, because the people from 2nd round of acceptances got 15 days to make their deposit (which will be middle of march) after that they will have a new meeting.
 
so i finally got my post-interview packet today (not sure what took so long). i interviewed mid february. does it matter if i still haven't turned mine in? would this have messed up my chances?

they basically ask you to fill out a form to turn it in. the form asks for ur current address (i believe) and emergency contact info. i dont think it would ruin ur chances of getting in.. its just a sheet of paper that reqs a signature (like the tech/health/etc forms). you're still solid.. no rush!

is USC gonna interview more ppl after march 9th???? according to my understanding, that might be the last interview group? can anyone confirm?

in the beginning of the sheet, it also states that turning it in is a way for them to know if you still want to be considered as an applicant pool for the waiting list? i think im over-thinking about it. i'm pretty anxious to be honest..

they are interviewing until April...and since they are hoping to accept around 50 % of the class by the 2 round of acceptances they sent out, that means they have another 50 % to fill up, so March 9th cant be their last day of interview, im sure they interview until April, at least thats what they said,
