can I ask a quick question about whether I have a chance to make AOA this season?

I have Honors in OB, family, neuro, and 4 electives, with High pass in internal medicine and surgery, and pass in pediatrics. I am worried because of the high pass in medicine and surgery. Thanks.

main thing is you have to be in the top 1/4thof your class, the rest is based on your school's current AOA members

so even though you didn't have honors in everything as an M3 - how you did in comparison to the rest of your classmates matters even more. plus its grades from all of the years, not just M3, that count.

Try the search function. There have been about a million threads on AOA criteria, with the summary opinion being that essentially you are supposed to be within the top 1/4 of the class to be eligible but that every school has a different way of determining the final candidates.

There is no way for us to reliably tell you what your chances are at your particular school.
