Probably not because a few top schools don't have AOA.

I was just wondering if programs screened for AOA like they do for step. I have a high step but probably won't be AOA so I'm just wondering if I'll lose out on interviews because of that.

I don't know if programs have a hard cutoff for AOA like they may have for Step 1

But it certainly helps to be AOA

I interviewed at programs where I could see the outside of my folder, and it said “AOA” in giant, bold letters.

Being AOA is better than not, but it’s not the end-all
