So i'm a bit confused by schools accepting ap prereq credits. i've alreay submitted my app so i might be screwed.

do schools accept credit by department exam? cause i have 5 credits gen chem but it was received by a combination of ap credit and credit by exam. during undergrad orientation i took a department exam and since i passed gen chem AND got an acceptable score on ap i received credit for it.

how strict are schools about this? since i sent mine already will they contact me if its a problem (as opposed to just rejecting me without telling me why)?

You should have looked at every school's pre-requisite requirements to see if they accept AP classes in place for the regular courses they require you to take in a four year university. I passed out of an entire year of Bio + lab from my AP scores but I ended up taking the full year series plus the lab as a senior undergrad because most of the schools I am applying to said on their websites that they do not accept AP credits. I would call the schools and see what you can do. Good luck.

well the thing is ive seen the post by doc toothache which lists an alarming amount of schools that dont accept ap credit however alot of the schools i dont see anything on their site that says they dont accept ap credit
