Hi! Thanks to everyone who's taking the time to read my post.

So I'm currently a freshman at a TX college, and I used a lot of my AP credit to move onto advanced coursework. I got out of taking:
  • Intro Bio 1/2
  • Gen Chem 1/2
  • Physics 1/2
  • English 1/2
  • Calc 1/2
  • Stats
This past year, I took:
  • Cal 3
  • Linear Algebra
  • Genetics
  • Molecular/Cell Bio
  • OChem 1/2
and made A's in all of them (I'm expecting A's this semester, hopefully finals go well!)

I also decided to take the MCAT in January before the new MCAT took over and scored a 35 (14PS/11VR/10BS). I hope to apply to medical school a year early in Summer 2016 and graduate by 2017.

Right now I'm trying to decide what to major in... I'm leaning towards chemistry and math. My question is, since I APed out biology and physics, should I take more upper level Bio courses and Phys courses? I was hoping to be "finished" with the whole premed track, but I'm not sure anymore... All of the med schools in TX take APs, and I want to stay in TX anyways, but I'm scared they'll look down on my excessive use of AP credit at little college exposure to bio and physics. Will my MCAT score be sufficient evidence that I'm decent in those areas of science? I really want to take it easy next semester, focus on chemistry/math and taking required courses to graduate early; just take 12 credit hours. If I take more bio/physics courses, I'll probably sacrifice finishing the math major and get a Chemistry major/math minor/biology minor instead. Plus I spend a good chunk of time in a research lab and tutoring, and just got a scribing gig at an ED, and I don't want my grades to suffer by taking too many classes. What do you guys think I should do?

Sorry for the long post...
Thanks!!

don't worry about your mcat score right now. major in something you enjoy - chem and math is good. as long as you have good grades and jump through the hoops you'll be fine. my advice: don't rush through undergrad. take your time and make decisions based on what you want, not what "looks best" for applying to med schools. just chillax homie

I agree - major in what you are truly interested in. I think I would take upper level classes in physics and gen chem just in case, because I think med schools might be trending towards asking for undergraduate coursework instead of AP credits, especially the UC's. Probably not absolutely necessary though - if you can find enough schools to apply to in addition to the Texas ones that don't require college courses, you could be fine not worrying about it.

Thanks to everyone for your help! @DrHart, thanks for your advice. Something about "chillax homie" made me feel relieved haha.
