How competitive is AP/NP Programs. Any input is welcome!

I think he is referring to the AP and Neuropath Fellowship afterward program. The two programs I'm familiar with in the West coast, offer a 2 year Neuropath fellowship that consists of 1 year of clinical neuropathology and 1 year of research.

If in fact that is what he is referring to, then its not that competetive to get into purely on the basis that in the future you are somewhat confined to a large medical center that deals with neurology (Alz, etc) and a good number of Neurosurg specimens.

Ahh, I thought maybe he meant neuro, but we don't have just an AP/NP program so to speak. My program does offer neuropath fellowship after complete AP. It is not hard to get into, but I have never heard anyone getting into both at the same time. But, for the right person they probably would.
