So I got my amcas back today and had some classes I did not anticipate marked as my sgpa. I went ahead and compared what amcas provided me and what I thought my gpa should have been. Now I see why amcas did what it did, it was really nice of them but I'm conflicted because my BCPM is significantly lower than what I expected with classes that were not marked under the science category.

amcas:
all gpas are very close to 3.55

My own calculations:

BCPM: 3.65
AO: <3.5 but very close to 3.5
cum: same as amcas

So should I submit an appeal? I like that in the amcas one right now I have all numerics above 3.5 but I also know that medical schools like higher sgpas and the way I did my calculation was done in accordance to what they suggest, so I definitely was not trying to inflate it to begin with. Please help.

Were there any classes that you classified as an AO category that you can see being considered BCPM? (that you had a grade lower than an A- in)

no I don't think so. All of my actual BCPM (ones that were labeled properly) were classes I did significantly better in.
