I was a prac student at Roudebush VA and highly recommend it; I gained invaluable experience and knowledge of SMI.

What's the protocol if we have a prior interview scheduled and then hear from another site (one that is very high on our list)? It would be obvious why we are canceling the interview, but on the other hand we can't not interview at a top site or do a phone interview which hurts our chances at a top site...

Have not heard from Durham VA yet...hoping for something today since today is their notification date (last year they sent a mass email for interviews on 11/28).

I didn't apply to those sites but hopefully you hear something soon! Fingers crossed!

Also, update for others who are waiting: mass email rejection on 11/27 from Westhaven VA (General Mental Health - PTSD and Complex Outpatient Mental Health Track)
 
For people keeping track, I got rejections via mass email this morning from Tampa VA (neuro track) and Connecticut VA - West Haven (neuro track). So the invites for people in the running should be coming soon

I've seen some posts about this but I'm still not sure --

What does it mean/could it mean if interview invitations have been sent out to others, but you haven't received one, nor a rejection. I am feeling slightly uncomfortable in this "limbo." Is it likely that it's a rejection? Did they forget about me? 😛

It seems like these are the most likely scenarios:

1. The site is sending out invites in waves and you may still receive an invite
2. The site is sending out invites in waves and you may still be rejected
3. Some sites prioritize sending out invites early (for scheduling purposes), but may not send out their rejections until later or even until their stated notification date
4. You may be on some sort of waiting list
5. Some sites may not send out rejection notices at all
6. There may have been something wrong with the submission of your application and they never received it (unlikely)
7. They forgot about you (haha) - also unlikely
8. Unsolved mystery :smuggrin:

Thanks so much! That's true...I hope they do send out rejection notices...I need to learn to sit with uncertainty 😛 maybe I'll do some CBT on myself!

Hi! Received invitation to Behavioral Medicine/Adult Psychopathology tracks on 21 November. I believe they operate on a rolling system basis - so stay tuned. Trusting you'll get good news, friend!

You’re definitely overthinking it. Plenty of sites are offering interviews on a rolling basis. An offer means you are qualified. Revel in that 🙂

I’m wondering the same thing. Kind of planning on just taking my chances with canceling on the lower priority site if something better comes along.

First thing to try is to see if either site has an alternative date on which to interview.
