I have a bad feeling the same thing is going to happen with Princeton House Behavioral Health. I don't really have anything to base this off of, but I don't think they took interns last year and it seems a little strange. Hopefully it doesn't happen. I am sorry about this news for you!

We were at a training today and one of them caught me checking my phone for the TEN MILLIONTH TIME that day and had some really helpful advice about just remembering that things will work out in the end (otherwise it's not the end), and sharing their own experiences. Any ideas which sites don’t send rejections? I see a handful if mine sent invites about 2 weeks ago. In trying to plan interviews, I am trying to hold spots in case they come through, but it would be so much easier to cross them off if they have a habit of not rejecting people.

So reassuring to see proof of "no news isn't necessarily bad news"!!!! As many times as it's been said, I'm super glad to see a real example haha.

It's frustrating but one only knows the final verdict once the notification is received. If the deadline passes and there has not been a notification, you can email the site to inquire regarding your status - but if it is one of those sites that seems to just be waiting until its actual notification deadline instead of sending rejections early, there is little one can do. So many sites are sending unprecedented waves this year that it is an unknown (even though I am somewhat pessimistic about the couple sites of mine that have already sent a wave).

It's easy to feel this way... but I think it's more accurate to say that there are a lot more OTHER strong applicants than we thought there were... it's like the olympics. Everyone who makes it there is an ultimate badass, but there are a plethora of other ultimate badasses to compete with. But that doesn't detract from the worth of any individual Olympic athlete, amiright?
