Do sites that call also send a rejection email or should I just assume that I did not receive an interview if the call date has passed?

This issue comes up a fair bit. On the forum most people have said that most sites send rejections. Some sites also have round two individuals who they may contact. Others may not have a round two, and just a very slow rejected letter to come. One of mine sent a mass rejection a week and change later, and it was not a 2nd string concept, it was just simply slow to send. Other thing noted on the forum people have said is that the day after the 'deadline' it is kosher to phone the site and ask for information. Wishing you well in this process!

"I also wanted to provide an update for Morrison Child & Family Services; maybe you can put this information somewhere. There was a mass e-mail from the TD sent on 11/19/20 indicating that the internship was closing down and would not be accepting interns for the 20-21 year. Because this decision came one week after the application deadline, I reached out to someone from APPIC via chat, and they said that they would forward a request on my behalf to get a refund. I haven't seen the refund yet, but at least they seemed willing. So, I hope others know they can do the same."

I just had a live chat with APPI customer service re: a refund for the Morrison app fee, and they said "The manager has submitted all refund requests. It will take a week or so for you to see the money back in your back account but just know we are actively working on it." FYI!

I just want to know SOMETHING! With that being said, has anyone gotten a rejection notification from Western State Hospital? This is not the most fun process!

I feel you. I applied to a lot of sites and I have heard back from only 20% (6 sites). I have 1 confirmed interview, one "waitlist"-sounding offer, and 4 rejections. However, one of those rejections is from a site within a consortium where I had applied to two sites, so I am still waiting to hear back from the other site within that consortium.

It can feel discouraging...I have to admit. Today I received two rejections within the past hour, so my confidence is not as high as it once was. I would love it if my luck could kick in sometime soon. Seeing people receive emails from sites I've applied to and not receiving them myself is concerning. The automatic thoughts kick in. I am trusting in the process, and will wait.

I'm feeling the same because I've only heard from 2 sites (and they've been rejections), but I'm noticing that most of the sites where I applied were for adults/SMI/community mental health, whereas a large portion of the sites that have already extended interview offers appear to be VAs or other types of sites. Hang in there, we got this!!!!

I got a letter saying they will cut me a check because I used Visa prepaid cards (birthday gift) and then I threw them away after I used them on applications...
Which I thought was very nice, because I didn’t think they would take extra steps to refund me!

I'm walking that line between "give up hope, you'll save yourself from devastation" and "you haven't gotten the outright rejection yet, maybe you'll still get an invite!"

This is my thought process with this site! From the brochure I felt like such a good fit for this site and now I'm just questioning all of my life choices. I really want to think no news is still good news but I also feel like I don't want to be a filler candidate if their first wave invitees decide not to accept interviews. I have a lot of conflicting emotions going on here!

This is my thought process with this site! From the brochure I felt like such a good fit for this site and now I'm just questioning all of my life choices. I really want to think no news is still good news but I also feel like I don't want to be a filler candidate if their first wave invitees decide not to accept interviews. I have a lot of conflicting emotions going on here!

HAHAH well when that rejection letter comes in I will definitely refer to your comment for immense comfort! Plus I've never lived in a climate that has weather below 50 degrees so I'll just reason that I'm not meant to live in a cold state and it will make it all better!
