Personally, I suggest we all get back on track with the purpose of this specific thread, which is intended to be focused on interview invitations and how we are navigating them. Who is right or wrong is neither significant nor relevant at this point because we clearly see a divide and there are false premises sprinkled throughout this situation. That aside, I wanted to remind everyone that, while the master list will likely be updated again tonight or tomorrow, I am doing my best to keep track of incoming invitations and can always DM an up-to-date list until I hand it over to Grenth. We are almost through this (at least hopefully for most), so hang in there!

I did this today and there were several other people who did it as well. I emailed the coordinator and asked if there was a place to store luggage and it all worked out well.

I'll be at Pacific on the 10th, too! and also Columbia Valley on the 17th - I saw you posted that you're interviewing there as well. Good luck! Hope to meet you on the 10th!

Anyone get a rejection from Youth Opportunity Center? Their deadline was a while back and would like to know at this point so I can be done waiting on sites!

Hi LAnne, sure! They’re “performance-based” questions that try to get a deeper look at your process. So questions like, “Tell me about a time when you disagreed with a supervisor.” “Tell me about a case that didn’t go well and what you learned from it.” That kind of stuff.

Has anyone been rejected from Appalachian State University CAPS? I know interview invitations were sent out a while ago but I have not received a rejection yet.

I am waiting on CO PIC, expected to hear today since the deadline is listed 12/13. Have you heard anything ? I applied for bright futures and summit.

I was preparing to address a very similar situation - ultimately, I didn't get the other interview that would have conflicted, so I didn't have to worry about it, but this is what I was planning on: email Site 1 and explain the situation of no flexibility from Site 2 and your desire to attend as many interviews as possible. Then inquire if they have had other candidates cancel or request a change from other possible interview dates, or if they would simply permit you to interview on an alternate day (or Skype) given the situation. If neither will budge and you truly have to decide between one or the other, I would go with the one YOU prefer most, without trying to deduce where you might fall in each site's rankings. I can sympathize with trying to incorporate that info, but you may never know - whereas you do know your own preference.

Thank you for your thoughts, I appreciate it. Neither site was willing to budge, so it did come down to choosing the best site for me-

I'm still waiting as well. It's the end of the quarter there, so it's possible they're swamped with that.

That's fine too. There have been several posters on here that may not click with me, but I sure won't go out of my way to publically shame them, etc. The post I made regarding keeping my internship interviews on the DL was sparked not because of a personal vendetta. I literally have a message in my PM box where the person admitted that they knew who I was personally because they saw my "writing style" on this forum, and somehow remembered this writing style in a listserv email they received a long time ago (I don't normally post on a listserve, so I know it was a while back). This person would have needed to dig through those emails and magically find the email they felt my writing style matched to make that connection to confirm their theory. That is creepy as hell. So, yes, I decided to be more cautious with my internship posts because I dont know their intentions (they could be nefarious for all I know).

Then block them and move on with your life. You've posted numerous times on here even after knowing this supposedly nefarious person is potentially after you. If you are so worried about their negative intentions, then why engage in this forum at all? You stopped posting where you are getting interviews to only telling us you received interviews. If this person knows who you are then again begs the question, why do you post at all? If you are just wanting validation or are attention seeking or whatever it is, at least be honest about it. Everyone else is going through this anxiety-provoking process but we aren't trying to cause anxiety and then give excuses as to how everyone else's cognitions are maladaptive. I also still don't know how an internship interview can be used against you. And no it does not seem like it's fine that people disagree with you because you'll probably either respond to this post with an excuse or not respond at all... it sounds like all you want to do is receive all the information but not really contribute to help everyone else.

Has anyone gotten rejections from Fraser (their notification was listed as during the week of 12/9) or Kennedy Krieger Institute Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress? These are the only 2 sites I’m waiting on and I believe they have both already made interview offers.
