Same--still haven't heard anything.Has anyone received a rejection from Cleveland Clinic Children's? I have seen people post interviews but I don't think I've seen anything about rejections. Their listed notification date was 12/4, and I haven't heard anything.
waiting on this too!I have not! Waiting on that one
I heard through the grapevine they were reviewing applications this past Wednesday, so I'm hoping they're just behind schedule and they'll at least send out rejections early this coming week. 😕Mendota friends: I'm noticing their APPIC page says "Our assistant will contact interviewees who are selected to be interviewed" and I also checked last year's thread and don't see any Mendota rejections, so I'm wondering if perhaps they don't send rejections and the information that others have been invited to interview just hasn't made its way to this forum yet 🙁 Thoughts?
I know at least 7 people who are waiting to hear from them and would be shocked if not one of them received an interview, just based on odds if nothing elseMendota friends: I'm noticing their APPIC page says "Our assistant will contact interviewees who are selected to be interviewed" and I also checked last year's thread and don't see any Mendota rejections, so I'm wondering if perhaps they don't send rejections and the information that others have been invited to interview just hasn't made its way to this forum yet 🙁 Thoughts?
I heard from them yesterday around 8pm. It went to my spam folder.Congrats on all these interviews, everyone! By any chance has anyone heard from the Virginia Treatment Center for Children?
Nope. Waiting on them too.Has anyone heard from DSH-Napa?
Yes, I’m not really sure how it will run but I’m assuming they will have some sort of structure that they will figure out (hopefully)? Is anyone else kinda confused with their approach to this open house lol I was pretty confused about how there are basically just open group based meetings?
I am in the same boat. I'm just grateful that the interviews are virtual and we won't have to travel from one site to another in a super short span of timeI might be getting a little ahead of myself here - but looking ahead at interviews, it is quite likely that I will have 5 interviews in one week. Is this normal?...Because I'm not entirely sure my mind can handle this.
The week before, I have a 5-hour interview and a 2-hour open house (for a different site) on the same day.
I would email. I had one site that I did not hear from even after their notification date. And apparently, they called and I did not get their call. Thankfully I email to follow up and got an invite for interview. So i would email and ask, I don't want to miss any opportunity. 🙂 All the best.Has anyone heard from Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress? Their notification date was yesterday 😬
That sounds like a good plan - I was thinking maybe they just got delayed since their application deadline was pushed to 11/16.@HopefullyOptimistic I will say that it looks like no one has heard from Kennedy one way or the other so my plan was to give them Monday as well and then reach out and the end of the day if there is still silence?!
Ya that’s definitely possible. Wishing good luck to all who are on the edge of their seats waiting at this point! That sounds like a good plan - I was thinking maybe they just got delayed since their application deadline was pushed to 11/16.
For those that have attended an optional virtual open house that doesn’t take place same day as interview, did you “go” in full interview attire?
Yes I was offered on interview on 12/3Has anyone heard from LIJ/Zucker Adult Track?
Ah ok - thank you and congrats! Was that neuropsych specific? I'm waiting on their general adult trackYes I was offered on interview on 12/3

Dang! I was just accepting the fact that I was likely rejected. I have not received an invite to interview nor a rejection. Leads me to believe there is still hope...?? Thanks for sharing! Some people in my cohort received mass rejection emails from UC Davis CAPS this morning 🙁
Long Island Jewish/Zucker Hillside Hospital is an entirely different site with more tracks. Both are a part Northwell Health, but so are many hospitals in the region. I have not heard from Northwell Health-Staten Island University Hospital - they generally notify between 12/13 and 12/15, possibly due to their application deadline being 12/01.was this for the department of rehabilitation (through Staten Island University)?
I've been wondering this too!Saw that Jesse brown was sending out invites but didn’t see neuropsych invites. Anybody able to confirm that they received an invite for their neuropsych track?
That would be amazing. I've been wishing for something like this.Does anyone know of any articles/videos that have compiled neuro -specific statistics? (I.e. average # of interviews, match rates, etc) 🙃
Sure did, and most others did too.For those that have attended an optional virtual open house that doesn’t take place same day as interview, did you “go” in full interview attire?
I am not sure if a new thread should be started for this regarding interview questions but I am wondering if anyone has any advice about how to prepare for Neuropsych specific case vignettes and/or writing samples that you may be given on an interview? Or if you have already had interviews with Neuropsych vignettes/samples, what was asked of you?
I did a vignette for a forensic site already, I prepared by reviewing diagnostic criteria, principles of competency/risk/malingering, MMPI validity scales and code types, and EBPs for serious mental illness. I also reviewed the site’s handbook to get an idea for what types of therapeutic approaches they prefer.I also would love to get input for forensic and correctional facility interview sites![]()

Me too. Very grateful to have the interviews and not have to travel, but this seems exhausting! My current plans for managing are: cancel everything I need to cancel in advance of that week, have meals prepped/assigned to partner, make no plans for the weekends on both ends, plan outfits in advance as if I am traveling and would be forced to, and plan to prep for each specific interview (e.g. re-read cover letters and brochure) the morning of so I don't get them too scrambled. It would be great to hear others' tips for making back-to-back interviews as successful as possible!I am in the same boat. I got a whole string of rejections before interviews came in. I know it’s scary but it definitely happens that way. Hugs to you!! Rooting for those invites to start coming your way soon!7 rejections no interviews still waiting to hear from 14 sites is this normal
I hear from combined track on Thursday. Hope you hear quickly.Has anyone heard from Montefiore's child track? Their open house email said that we should hear by 4:59 pm EST today...
thank you <3 I completed these applications only a few weeks after giving birth to my first child because i was so determined to continue moving forward with my career, and I know I did a good job despite the lack of sleep! praying for the same sort of response you got...I got a whole string of rejections before interviews came in. Kudos to you for managing this process with a newborn ❤️thank you <3 I completed these applications only a few weeks after giving birth to my first child because i was so determined to continue moving forward with my career, and I know I did a good job despite the lack of sleep! praying for the same sort of response you got...
I second all of this. Even though I had a week full of interviews this past week and did...none of these things 😉 I actually prepared quite a bit for my very first interview and none for the rest, even though my top choices came later in the week. Overall interviews have felt more conversational and to a large extent repetitive. My candid answers have been much better than rehearsed, scripted answers.Me too. Very grateful to have the interviews and not have to travel, but this seems exhausting! You’re a rockstar! Congratulations and welcome to your sweet babe! 💕thank you <3 I completed these applications only a few weeks after giving birth to my first child because i was so determined to continue moving forward with my career, and I know I did a good job despite the lack of sleep! praying for the same sort of response you got...
Way to go mama! From another mama who had kids in grad school, I know how much of an adjustment those first few weeks are. Praying that you get good news soon! I also had a bunch of rejections before my first interview offer. It's not too late by any means.thank you <3 I completed these applications only a few weeks after giving birth to my first child because i was so determined to continue moving forward with my career, and I know I did a good job despite the lack of sleep! praying for the same sort of response you got...
Keep in mind it only takes ONE!!!! And then Phase II where in recent here’s there have been plenty of great sites across specialities.7 rejections no interviews still waiting to hear from 14 sites is this normal
I didn’t hear from them either. I applied to child track. Not expecting a good response though. Instead of putting “i would like to be considered for the Child Track”, I wrote “I would like to be considered for the Behavioral Health Rotation”. 😖Happy interview season fam! Sending everyone positive energy.
Anyone hear from Friends Hospital in Philly? They have yesterday listed as their notification date but since they extended their deadline I assume they’ll take a bit longer. Wanted to see if anyone has info. Thanks in advance!
I’m waiting on Woodhull too. Not a word from them. I heard that they are typically a little disorganized but I think at this point I’m waiting for a rejection.I’m waiting on Lenox Hill and Brooklyn VA!
