I think because they extended their deadline for application submission, it will take a bit more time to hear back about interviews or rejections.

In terms of communicating with sites, one should behave as if this thread does not exist. A site has every right to send notifications up to their posted deadline - inquiring prior to this date may negatively impact the chances of an invite. While hindsight may tell a different story in a couple weeks, we simply cannot know what we don't know.

I would be more confident with that assumption if I saw more posts, simply because there are many competitive applicants on this thread receiving interviews from great sites. I could certainly be wrong - we will likely find out soon - but it just seems unusual. Either way, good luck to all of those who are waiting!

Ah, good call! I forgot this was one that pushed things back. I just checked and the notification date is now 12/14. It's a bummer to have to wait a few extra days!

Rejections from Saint John's Saint John's Child & Family Development Center (12/7), Samaritan Health Services (12/2), Nebraska Internship Consortium-UNL and Creighton (12/1), Primary Children's Hospital (11/23), and OHSU (11/18). Quite demoralizing, but oh well...it is what it is.

I wonder how much location plays into decisions. I attend a university in the midwest and all but one of my midwest internship sites I applied to were rejections. I've had more luck with my eastern sites.

I am not really taking that into consideration when ranking sites. I feel like they are a good program and that they have a plan to address it. I would be surprised if they don’t fully address everything and get off probation. I’m not sure if that’s naive of me to think though 🤷🏻‍♀️
