Also wondering what to do with my pup who’s my 75 lb shadow 😂 He feels the need to be included any time I’m on a Zoom meeting for any reason so I’m considering asking a family member to watch him during interviews lol
 
Has anyone who is interviewing at Barrow Institute at Phoenix Children's this week received their itinerary/agenda/links?

I have interviews at 4 other BOPS but have not been called to schedule my CVA. I feel like they are waiting to schedule until I hear back from Butner as the two girls in my cohort who applied to BOPs heard back from all their BOP sites and the CVA was scheduled after that. This is just a hypothesis, but it is the only logical thing I can think of.

*Edit: One of my co-externs has several BOP interviews and is only waiting on Butner to tell her either way and has also not gotten her CVA scheduled.

I have heard from 5/6 BOPs, only waiting on Butner. I’ve been in contact with the person setting up my CVA but not scheduled.
 
This is a follow up to a discussion of "on contingency" APA accreditation (though I would rehash for a sec since the topic of unaccredited sites came up). I found another APA doc that specifically addresses the impact on students if a site loses accreditation mid internship. Looks like the loss of accreditation would only start at the end of the current training year. So it seems to protect students, but ONLY if you have already passed your start date. So those with site visits scheduled for after the start date face basically zero risk for going to this type of site. I am also posting this to hear if anyone has heard otherwise or interprets this differently! I have awesome sites I am interested in who are on this status.

100% my cat will be present for interviews. My desk is in a room without a door and she is very eager to participate in all video meetings. I'm hoping my many hours of her putting her tail in my clients' faces during telehealth appts will prepare me to deal with her gracefully. And hopefully like my clients, the TDs will be enthralled by her charms...

I'm sending my pup to doggie day care each day of my interviews---he definitely thinks that Zoom = the best time to play

Haha, mine too—hence the need for the crate when he gets too rowdy lol. Have thought about making arrangements for him, but at the end of the day if someone gets upset cause he barked at something he heard outside, that’s prob not a site I’d want to be at anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Awesome, so good to hear! I replied to the scheduling e-mail which I realize now was the program administrator/coordinator rather than the Training Director. Do you think I should forward the message/reach out to the TD herself via email to let her know the situation/reiterate interest?

I hear from YCS! Got an offer from them but no dates for interviews as yet. They promised to schedule around the 23rd.
 
Has anyone not heard from Columbia Irving Med Center either interview or rejection? I am currently in limbo as I have not heard either way.
 
Received neither an invite nor rejection from Sacramento VA, so I’m a little confused given that I’ve seen they sent out mass invites yesterday and rejections today lol.

I guess I’ll have to reach out tomorrow! Although I’m anticipating that they forgot to add me to the rejection email lol 🤦🏻‍♀️

I ended up getting lucky as well, after leaving a second message, though it is certainly a suboptimal approach to scheduling.

I received my invite from them this morning, not yesterday, so who knows how they are rolling them out. fingers crossed for you.

I am in the same boat for one of my sites. Their notification date was 12/1 and I know ppl received rejections & invites last month but nada for me lol. I just need closure lol. 😂

That's helpful to know! Someone got an invite yesterday and someone got a rejection today. Maybe they are doing batches as they review?

I’ve been waiting for them!!!!! Ughhhh I feel like I’m gonna get the rejection...congratulations, it’s really amazing training site!!

I was in the same boat where people got invitations and rejections a week ago so I reached out to them today and they informed me that the system they use to send bcc emails has been malfunctioning sometimes. I would just reach out, they’re usually nice about it!

My friend received the official bcc rejection a week ago and people also received interviews a week ago but I hadn’t heard either way so I actually emailed them today asking for an update since I hadn’t heard and they told me the system they use for bcc emails has been malfunctioning and she told me my application status in the email so I would email if you hadn’t heard because they’ve definitely sent everything out already (but if you actually received it is another story)

I did end up reaching out. The TD was very apologetic and kind in her response. Officially rejected, but now can cross that one off my list. She also said they sent emails out thru APPIC.
