That is the weirdest rejection I've heard of so far lol
 
Still waiting on Brooklyn Va (notification date is today), Jamaica Hospital (notification is end of the month), Mt Sinai Beth Israel (I think someone had an interview there?), and Pace (changed their date to 1/11 mysteriously). Any news on those sites?

I have an interview at Beth Israel but haven’t heard from Brooklyn VA-pretty sure no one has heard from them yet.
 
I haven’t received a call back yet from Henry Ford to schedule my interview, should I call them? They said they’d call today and it looks like some people have already received their calls?

I would probably wait for tomorrow morning to call. They might be making their way down a list.

I haven't heard back from Duke either.... not sure if that is good thing or a bad thing for us lol

Ha, I am in the same boat with a site that sent out notices a week ago, but I had been imagining that the TD was in her office today going "eenie meenie miney mo" with my application...yet this seems a more likely situation 😂 Planning to email tomorrow once the official deadline has passed.

I'm so glad that other people are talking about this...because I'm 100% planning on letting my cat sit with me. He sat in my lap throughout my entire dissertation proposal (#zoom) and no one was the wiser. I wouldn't feel right leaving him out of this. 🤣

That would make sense lol my name is at the end of the alphabet so if that is the case, I can believe that is why I have not heard anything yet... It's so difficult being patient lol

I was freaking out for two weeks. Lol. So I definitely get it. And with your name being towards the end alphabetically, my theory seems to hold up lmao.

Did it take awhile for Columbia to send you the email with details after they called you? I’m still waiting for a follow up email and they called me on Friday. Thanks!

I know this particular site has had a million questions asked about it. So in case this is at all helpful to anyone: I emailed them yesterday evening (12/14) asking if there was any news since their notification date as 12/11. They emailed today in response to that email inviting me to an interview. So maybe go ahead and ask? Or hopefully everyone will be hearing back one way or another today.

They should have honorary PhDs for our furry companions. My cat is the only reason I haven't been driven completely bananas.

Anyone interviewing at Coatesville VA tomorrow?
If so, in the email with interview details, the director said she had included a "shortened version of their brochure with sample schedule, living in the area and federal benefits." My email did not include any of that... Did anyone else's?

I got my Bellevue rejection just now. It was a very nicely crafted email. Respectful and not insulting at all. I read it and smiled because I would still apply to that site in the future, just because the email was so nice.

thanks for sharing!! I looked at some of the APPIC interview threads from past years and it looks like they've notified applicants sometime past the interview notification date, so I'm hoping they're just running a little behind and that this does not mean I have been rejected, but who knows! I may email the TD to check in.
