Whenever you need me, I'll be here. That's right, it's your old AuntSue, again. While I might have stayed out of your notifications, I've always got my watchful eye on your successes and failures.

Your AuntSue is still waiting on a couple of likely rejections and is reckoning with her place in a world that evaluates "fit" from paper, but the camaraderie you all have shown is a balm for my aching professional heart.

For those with a pile of interviews, iron your blazers and sweatpants and lock your cats in the bathroom, you've got to give this your all. For those who have found themselves with nothing but rejections, ranging from heartfelt to downright dismissive, cry for a bit, wash your face, and then get started on a new game plan. Your AuntSue promises that this isn't the end of the world, even if it might feel like it right now. Regardless, I wish I could pull each of you into my bosom for a Dec. 15th hug.

As always, I'm SO EXCITED for every single one of you, interview count be damned.

has anyone received an official rejection from Cleveland Clinic Children’s yet? Still waiting...notification was supposed to be sent on 12/4
I haven't either. Today I finally decided to email the TD and I got an auto-response saying she will be out of office until the end of December.

Rejection from NorthWell Health Staten Island in spam. For my neuro peeps do you have any recommendations for those that received 4 or fewer interviews and may be going into phase II? Trying to stay optimistic but feeling like I need to improve in some areas due to the limited # of interviews I have received.

I have been looking at last years Phase II thread and there were people there who had ranked 7 sites and people who ranked one! I think hold your head up high, it’s not over until it’s over. It’s not about how many interviews you get, it’s about rocking the interviews you have! Last year my program had 4 people not match Phase I, and two of them I know for sure had 5+ interviews. Of those who matched, I know at least 3 that had 3 or fewer interviews (one of which only had 1!). Also if you look at last year, plenty of people matched at their top 3 sites, which could mean if they only had those 3 interviews, they’d have matched.

Sorry to bring this up again, but anyone not hear from Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital (Neuro Track)?
I applied to the neuro track and also have not heard anything from them either way. I'm assuming it's a rejection, but will probably email later this week to check? Same thing for Phoenix Children's Hospital. 😬
