applicants who had interviews but no acceptance = waitlist?

i was jsut wondering, once you get interviewed, will a school let u know if you've been REJECTED does that automatically put you in waitlist pile?

I'm not following what you're asking. I do know that if you get rejected, you're rejected. That means no admission for you this cycle.

oops sorry, i didnt make any sense.. my question is, will a school actually send out a rejection letter after you've been interviewed if they dont want you or will they just say that you've been 'waitlisted'

if they don't want you you will be rejected (for most cases). if they like what they say but don't have any spots you'll be waitlisted.
