Application cycle, gone during late September

Currently applying to medical schools, and finished my primary a couple of days. Currently working on secondaries. Anyone know if it's ok to take 1 week off from med applications in late September? I won't have internet access because I'll be on a medical trip that I've been wanting to go on for a long time. Should I be ok for admissions?

Provided your secondaries are in it shouldn't hurt you too much. You will be just slow to react to any correspondence you receive.

Most schools give you a while to let you know of upcoming interviews, so you should know your schedule before you go. If it would be at all possible to even check your email once during the middle of the week that would be best. But overall it should not matter since you will already know if you are booked or not that weekend.
