Hi,

At my naturalization, two months back, I had a name change.

My previous name was A-B-C, now it is B-A-C (due to personal reasons)

As you can see, my last name is the same, and my middle and first names have been switched.

Which name should I use in my AAMCAS application? All my academic and other records, including MCAT, are under my former name. I am concerned that I may run into problems...

Thank you!

This is how I approached it... I put my current legal name as my primary name in AMCAS. Then I put in my former (maiden) name in the part of the biographical section where we put in former/alternate names. Two of my three transcripts were in my maiden name, but I didn't have any problems getting verified.

Thank you Coffeebeanjenn.

What about TMDSAS? Does anyone have any idea about what name to put on the TMDAS transcript request form? As of now, I am putting A-B-C, and just writing a side note that my current legal name is B-A-C because my TMDSAS account is under the latter name, and academic records under the former.

Do you think that will work?
