Application Tips with Apply Point: Apply to State Schools (Broadly and Specifically)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
If you’re currently in the process of researching where you’ll apply to medical school, we encourage you to apply broadly. Submit an application to EVERY state school in your state. These programs favor locals and cost less money than out-of-state and private programs.

Take note, though: If you're going to apply to a state school outside of your state, that school should matriculate at least 25% of their students from out of state, à la the University of Vermont and University of Iowa.

Check out our blog and/or follow us on Instagram for more application tips!
