applied early, but no immediate benefits?

Applied early, 2nd batch. STILL "under review" at some of the schools that have already sent interview invites. even those in batches after me have gotten some love.

With my lower-end stats, does applying early even matter? I'm starting to think not because the people who get invited early tend to have higher scores AND early applications, right? So what about about weaker students like me?

Do weaker students fight for the post-dec1 "leftover" spots? Because I'm in an early mailing, does this just mean I have better chances post-dec1 since I am earlier relative to other weaker applicants? 😕

I only see interview invitations from few schools. No worry...

personally i think a lot of it is the luck of the draw. i mean if your stats are amazing you are definitely more likely to get interviews (i don't want to offend anyone). i got an interview this year at umdnj with the same stats that i got rejected with immediately last year. the only difference is i applied earlier this year. it is really still early in the game, only a handful of schools are giving interview dates so hold your horses. i'm sure you will be one of the lucky ones. keep the faith...

submitted aug 15, took dat sept 30. so my app was not complete until mid oct. did fax unofficial dat though. last year we had a spot on the app which we could mark off saying we were re-taking the dat.

No it doesnt make any sense. Only like 10 schools out of 56 have sent out invites. I think everyone is waiting 👍
