Hi everyone. Just a quick poll-type question: how many people applied/plan to apply their Junior year in college (meaning they planned on going to dental school straight after undergrad) and how many applied/plan to apply their Senior year (meaning they planned on taking a year off before attending dental)? Thanks!

I'm applying when I will technically have senior standing in both of my programs, but I if I get accepted to dental school and that class starts before August then I will not graduate from undergraduate as I would require that summer to complete all the requirements for my degree. A year off would be nice but unfortunately I think I've piddled around enough and now I just want to get my education over and done with in the most expeditious fashion possible.

I am applying this cycle and I've only just finished my sophomore year. If accepted, my school will let me transfer my dental school classes so I will receive my undergrad degree after my first year of dental school.

I just finished my junior year of college, and I just applied this summer.

I'm right in the middle. I will graduate in December, which gives me half a year off before d-school starts. I figure 6-7 months to travel, work, relax is a happy medium.

I'll be applying next May/June right after I graduate...but I plan on continuing to take a few science classes just in case I don't get in so I can apply the following year and have something to show for it.
