I am currently in a 7 year program, but would it be possible to apply to another dental school and give up my bachelors degree? Also when applying, what if I am going to be taking the pre-reqs for a specific dental school during the two semesters after I apply and before I go.

Thanks in advance

I don't know about the agreement or terms of a 7 year program...But there are certainly schools that will take you a year early without a bachelors. It's rare to be accepted like that though and you need a smoking hot application. I tried it this year and it worked for me. So I just saved 20k in tuition and will be done with d-school a year early!

You don't have to have all the prereqs done before, but the more the better. (I had 5 untaken prereqs on my application, 2 were in progress, and I have 3 going on now in my last semester in UG)

For the longest time, I thought your avatar was showing a stick man having explosive diarrhea while playing video games.
I was wrong.

Thanks. So you gave up ur bachelors then?

FYI Seahawk is basically the man/woman!! I can assure you that their case is quite rare and they had an awesome GPA and DAT.

I would not advise giving up a guaranteed spot in dental school in your 7 year program, with hopes of possibly getting in a year early. The risk vs reward is simply not there for me.

Furthermore, i am kind of confused... don't you get in a year early, w/o your BS, in a 7 year program anyway? So why would you apply to other schools that year if it will happen anyway?
