I'm registered to take the new MCAT on June 20th (Score available July 21st).

Assuming I submit the primary as soon as I possibly can (June 2nd, 2015), how would taking the MCAT in July vs June affect my overall application? Also assume that my GPA and ECs are somewhat competitive.

My pre-med advisor told me late-June is the latest I would want to take it, but I really want to know if taking it July 17/18 (and having the score available August 18) would affect my application in any way.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: I have a very low MCAT score from January that I don't want to use at all, would medical schools only see that I took a new one, only as soon as I've taken it? How would that affect my secondaries? What if I don't get secondaries cause the score is too low?

Thanks in advance
