If I can take an extra class to boost my BCPM in the first half of summer (ending around June 25th with grades reported around July 1st) would it be more beneficial to wait to apply to schools at that time or is it better to apply earlier? It would only boost my GPA very slightly but I wonder if I am about 3.4 BCPM at that time whether that boost could make a difference. Thoughts?

Apply in June. A marginal increase isn't sufficient for the delay.

If the boost is insignificant, applying earlier is probably better.

No! Don't do it. Contrary to what I said in the 3.45 vs. 3.50 post, putting in an application earlier outweighs the advantage of the marginal yet symbolic increase in GPA. When you fill out AMCAS, put that class as one that you are currently taking and if it helps, many secondary applications make you fill out redundant information like GPA, etc. You might be able to put that to use. If you take an upper level science offered in the summer (I don't see any that are easy though), you might be able to use that as a biology requirement.

Like many others, I would suggest that when you're ready, you should apply as early as possible. Keep in mind that the time for your application to become verified becomes exponentially higher the longer you wait. An applicant in June can be verified within a matter of days (myself), whereas AMCAS will be inundated with applications in July, it may take you close to or even more than a month to be verified (colleagues and friends that I know). Given the fact that MD school admissions is on a rolling basis, it's of the utmost importance that one should apply as early as possible.
